Legion launched last year, which means a brand new expansion for World of Warcraft will almost certainly be coming next year. And while we are sure Blizzard will make the announcement some time soon (presumably at Blizzcon later this year), for now, we are all left to speculate on what this next expansion might be, without any hard data to guide us.
Well, not counting this code found by datamining the 7.3 PTR build. WoWhead did just that, and it has discovered some rather interesting information here- information that seems to indicate that the upcoming expansion may be set in, or at least allow us to go to, Kul Tiras.
Of course, this doesn’t have to mean anything- plans can change, the name might be a placeholder, Kul Tiras may be the focus of an upcoming event, and not the expansion- any number of variables could throw our speculation off. That said, it at least gives us something hard to chew on as we wait for an official announcement from Blizzard.
