Worms Battlegrounds, the award winning franchise from Team17, will be making its debut on the next generation consoles later this month, when it launches May 30 on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. The game will be available at retail, and in the US, it will also be sold online digitally on the PSN Store on June 3.

Worms Battlegrounds will also be one of the pioneering titles to be released under Microsoft’s ID@Xbox program which is a banner program for indie game developers to be able to release their content on Microsoft’s new console with as little restrictions as possible.

The game will also be taking full advantage of the multitude of extra features the consoles have to offer, taking full advantage of the PS4’s DualShock Light Bar and touchpad, for example, or having full functionality and support for SmartGlass on the Xbox One.
