WWE 2K26 is shaping up to be a fine addition to the franchise, and the latest trailer, highlighting the latest 2K Showcase, puts a digital spin on a beloved star from wrestling’s history.
CM Punk enters the ring, accompanied by a voice-over from the man himself as he gravely informs us that his career was never about gaining popularity, but doing it his way, on his own terms. It seems that the developers are extending the same freedom to us, as we get to experiment with what could have been if he hadn’t left the spotlight.
The trailer shows off some of the most prolific matches of CM Punk’s career, alongside a few that we’re going to see for the first time courtesy of WWE 2K26’s Fantasy Warfare mode. Quite a few big names are fighting against the former indie star as the trailer takes us through several of the key moments of his career. From JBL at the 2008 Summer Slam all the way to his feud-ending match against Drew McIntyre in Hell in the Cell at Bad Blood 2024, expect to be witness to a wrestling career that’s right up there with some of the finest to date.
WWE 2K26 hits the shelves on March 13 with early access opening up from March 6 for more premium edition purchasers. It’s available on the PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
