Xbox One Digital TV Tuner Now Available in Europe

TV TV TV TV... okay, I'll stop now.

The Xbox One Digital TV Tuner, announced a couple of months ago, is a peripheral that is designed to plug into your Xbox One (via the HDMI input port), and receive signals of free to air channels with HD feeds, without the need for a separate cable box or subscription. It has now launched in several European countries, meaning Europe finally gets to experience the ‘TV! TV! TV!’ vision that Microsoft touted (and subsequently abandoned) last year. Welcome to 2013, guys.

It integrates itself seamlessly into your Xbox One, meaning it is usable with both, the Kinect and the Xbox One controller, can be Snapped, and streams to mobile devices over SmartGlass, in addition to utilizing the unique, embedded TV functionality within the console itself. It costs just £24.99/€29.99, and should be a nice value addition to your Xbox One, if you intend to buy into Microsoft’s vision of ‘the iPad of the living room’ with your console.
