XCOM 2 New Screenshots Show off Battles In The Wilderness

XCOM 2 is the sequel to the great XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the reboot of the classic turn based strategy console that was launched a few years ago to great success. XCOM 2 is embracing its classic turn based strategy roots even further, by eschewing the streamlining that Enemy Unknown adopted, and going for a purer, more hardcore strategy game experience.

Among the new additions include battles fought in the wilderness, as opposed to the mostly standard urban terrains of Enemy Unknown. These include icy wastelands, deserts, forests, and old ruins- all of which will definitely provide for significant variation in the strategy necessary to win.
