Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Gets New Commercial Showcasing Its World Intersecting With Our Real One

Players trying to get to Elysium.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

One of Nintendo’s pitches for the Nintendo Switch has been that it lets you get lost and immersed in your game any time, anywhere, on your terms. And for the upcoming Xenblade Chronicles 2, they are choosing to represent that in a rather novel way.

As part of their ‘Close Calls’ series of commercials, this ad shows players playing the game, interspersing game footage (which, yes, there is some of in this ad too, so make sure to check it out for that) with elements from the game world showing up in ours, and players very narrowly escaping them as they continue to play Xenoblade.

It’s a pretty cool concept, and I definitely like how it has been shown. Plus the footage looks great, too. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is due out on December 1, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. Make sure to check out the new advertisement for the game for yourself below.
