Yakuza 0 Coming Westward Next Year

Launching only on PS4, digitally and at retail.

Yakuza 0

Yakuza’s slow comeback in the west continues- after Yakuza 5 got a localization on the PS3 late last year against all odds, Yakuza 0 will be coming across the pond as well. Sega today confirmed that Yakuza 0 is launching in North America and Europe- but it’s going to be a long wait, since the release date that they announced was early 2017.

It’s not all bad news, as Yakuza 0 will, unlike Yakuza 5, be released digitally and at retail (Yakuza 5 was only made available digitally). So Yakuza fans who are also collectors now have a chance to actually get the game too. Sega also confirmed that the Japanese dub will be retained for the western release- no English voiceovers will be added, though English subtitles will naturally be made available.

Yakuza 0 will launch in the west as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. It first launched in Japan early last year, and it was available on both, the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4.
