In the meantime, we’ve provided some solutions for some of the problems you may run across while trying to run the game.

  • CPU SPEED: Info
  • RAM: 4 GB

Always remember that official support is always the best support.

GENERAL FIXES

Generally speaking, some basic troubleshooting tips should always help you resolve whatever issue you are facing with the PC version of any game. If you are running into problems, maybe first attempt the following steps, and if they don’t work out, look into some of the more specific fixes we have below.

  • Make sure the drivers on your PC are updated
  • If you have two GPUs, make sure you are using the discrete GPU instead of the integrated one
  • Set Yakuza 0’s priority to High in the Task Manager Turn off any background programs, including firewalls, chat clients, video recorders, and overlays
  • Try lowering visual settings on the game to see if that improves game performance
  • Make sure you have Windows updated before you attempt to play Yakuza 0.

HOW TO UNLOCK ‘SAVE ANYWHERE’ FUNCTION

In the game, you can save progress only at certain points by going to a payphone.  However, there is a method that will enable you to save anywhere you like. Before you try out this method, it’s advised that you save regularly using payphones with one save slot. Additionally, avoid saving in the middle of combat or during story missions as this has caused some problems for players.

To  unlock the ‘Save Anywhere’ function, you first need to locate your Settings.ini file. Typically this will be located at  ‘C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\Sega\Yakuza0’. Now, open up the Settings.ini file and you will see a line that says SaveAnywhere=0. Just change this to SaveAnywhere=1, and you will now be able to save anywhere you like by using the pause menu while in the game.

CRASHING AT LAUNCH

To fix an issue where the game crashes at launch, you will have to get your game files’ integrity verified. To do so, first locate your graphics.ini files which will be located at ‘C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\Sega\Yakuza O.’ Once you do, just send this file along with your ‘dxdialog’ files to the ‘help@sega.com’ email ID.

POOR AUDIO ISSUES

Some players have reported experiencing poor audio issues in the game. There are a couple of solutions you can try out to see which one fixes the issue for you. According to some players, the issue may be caused by stuttering which is related to the FPS of the game. To fix this issue, navigate to the game’s folder, open the audio.ini file and then make sure that SteroMode=1 and AudioMode=1. If these don’t fix your issue, then you will have to go ahead and open your graphics.ini file and ensure that VSync enabled=1 and that MaxFPS=60 or alternatively MaxFPS=30. Once you’ve followed these steps, the stuttering and crackling audio issue in the game should be fixed.

Another cause of poor audio in the game is to do with the Master Volume in the game. To fix the issue, first set the Master Volume in the game to 100%. Once you’ve done this, open the game’s folder and then open the audio.ini file. Once you’ve done this, ensure that MasterVolume=”1.000″. this should resolve the issue for you.

Note: Given that the wide range of PC hardware out there, the fixes mentioned here may or may not work for you. But it’s worth giving them a shot since these have worked for players who own the PC version of Yakuza 0.
