If you’ve been waiting to hear news about Yakuza: Kiwami 2, you might have to continue waiting for a while longer. For the past few years, announcements of western localization for the Yakuza games were made during the PlayStation Experience event. However, this year there will be no such announcement made as was confirmed by the series’ localization producers in a recent twitch stream.

Yakuza: Kiwami 2 is the remake of the original Yakuza 2 and it is set to release in Japan in December 7th. Even with the release date being so close, there is still no news regarding when the game may be localized for western audiences.

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life’s localization was announced at last year’s PlayStation Experience. So for now, fans of the series can look forward to playing this game when it releases for the PS4 on March 20th, 2018. Hopefully, we’ll eventually get to play Yakuza: Kiwami 2 as well.
