Yakuza: Like A Dragon Shows Off Footage From The PS5 Version

The delayed version of the title doesn't look too shabby.

The journey of Yakuza: Like a Dragon to the west is almost worthy of a RPG of its own. Originally released at the beginning of this year in Japan as simply Yakuza 7 exclusively to the PS4, it was finally announced to be coming westward to most major consoles, including Microsoft’s next generation consoles. But there was also a lack of clarity about a PS5 version (in fact, the release date for all non-next gen versions got a bit muddy at one point), but yesterday it was finally confirmed that the native PS5 version of the game would not release until March. Well, despite it being delayed, we got to see a little of it.

Sega released some footage of gameplay from Like a Dragon running on the PS5. It’s brief, just showing a quick battle, but it gives you an idea of what to expect and that the PS5 release is a real thing, I guess. For whatever reason, Sega didn’t upload this to official channels, but the folks at Multiplayer.it got the capture, which you can see below.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon will release November 10th for PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. The PlayStation 5 version will release on March 2nd, 2021. Despite releasing later, you will be able to upgrade your PS4 version to a PS5 one when it releases, though saves will not transfer between the platforms.
