Steam usually does these promotions where you can play certain multiplayer rich titles for free for a week or a weekend in this case. Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops had the same promotion and while these games never get a significant price drop, like, anywhere – such promotions are good to increase awareness.
The free weekend will begin in two days, i .e., April 26 at 6pm GMT. So if you want to check out how the multiplayer is in Modern Warfare 3, now’s your chance. And yes, the pre-loading has begun, so check it out.
