Your Mileage May Vary With June’s Xbox Live Games With Gold

It appears that once again, the Xbox 360 selection is far better than the Xbox One selection.

The June selection of games for Xbox Live’s Games With Gold program has been announced, and on the whole, it appears to be a decent month. It certainly seems to be better than last month’s offering, although it is not quite hitting the highs that April’s games did.

On the Xbox One front, players will get the chance to the all-new Massive Chalice, from fan-favorite developer Double Fine Productions. It’s basically an instance of a real time strategy game on a console, and appears to be an excellent game to offer, so no complaints here.

No, instead, the complaints are with the second game on offer, which is Pool Nation FX again, for the third month running. Repeat games are already a problem with Games With Gold, but Pool Nation FX has probably set a new precedent for this at this point.

The Xbox 360 fares a bit better- it will let you download last year’s reboot of Thief, as well as Just Cause 2, which should help you get hyped for the third installment ahead of its release later this year.
