Ys Origin Launches on Xbox One on April 11

Please buy this game, Xbox fans!

Ys Origin, the very first game in the long running and storied franchise to hit an Xbox console, will be releasing on Xbox One on April 11, publisher Dotemu confirmed today. This is actually one of the best instances of Japanese support we have seen for the Xbox One yet, given how niche Ys is in appeal—hopefully the game does well on the console, and paves the way for other such games.

The Xbox One version of the game will even get two exclusive modes- a Speedrun mode, which lets players compare completion times on leaderboards across Xbox Live, as well as, amusingly enough, a Blood Mode, that lets players select the amount of blood they would like to see in the game as they play.

Ys Origin is currently available on PC and PS4 (in case you don’t want to wait for the Xbox One release). As for the Xbox One version, its release was announced with a brand new trailer, that you can see for yourself below.
