ZombiU’s gamepad feature allows you to leave messages for others

Wii U controller will be crucial if you want to survive the world of ZombieU.

Ubisoft is going all out with its Wii U launch title ZombieU, and as the name suggests, you will be a survivor in a grim world infested with zombies with hardly any ammunition to dispose of them.

The developers haven’t hidden the weapons, ammunition and clues in plain sight, however, and you can’t even see them on the Wii U screen, so here’s where the Wii U controller comes in with its unique tablet like system.

The purple hue of the controller screen allows you to find messages, ammunition cache and a lot of other things to make survival easy. You can also leave messages to other players giving them hints – sort of like the Souls games, but there’s not a lot of in-depth explanation here.

If you die in the game, the consequences are painful making it tough to survive. You can go to the previous location of where you corpse died – sort of like the Diablo games – and get back some of the items you had but it’s going to be tough.
