Sloclap’s Absolver is an interesting case study, combining action and RPG elements in the guise of a full-fledged 3D fighter. With a large world to explore, no less. The entire premise revolves around exploring the land, challenging enemies (or other players) to combat and customizing your move sets. There are a variety of styles, skills and more to help in that endeavour. But what’s the best way to stand out?
Thankfully, Absolver also boasts a strong character creator and customization suite, one that allows you to decide your gender and the ridiculous clothing you can adorn.
Much of the clothing you find is actually gear and will improve your stats in certain ways. The real question now is: Will there be a transmogrification system to allow players to maintain certain stats while changing the overall look to something else? That remains to be seen but here’s hoping.
