Bioware Explains The Lack of Mass Effect Andromeda Gameplay Footage

But they maintain that the game will be out by March of next year.

Mass Effect Andromeda

For the third year running, we were promised Mass Effect Andromeda at E3. For the third year straight, we were misled- while we did get a new trailer for the game yesterday, it was still a ‘concept’ trailer. Yes, it was in engine, which made for a nice change, but we still haven’t gotten to see what the game actually looks like- and when you consider that the game is allegedly planned for a release by March next year, then this kind of a repeated absence of actual gameplay footage is an issue.

However, speaking on Twitter, Bioware’s Michael Gamble confirmed that the game is in fact on track for a release by the end of this financial year (which would be through to the end of March 2017), and that Bioware will be sharing far more information on the game as it gets closer to release.

I guess I can understand that- but I do have to ask what the point of even announcing the game as early as Bioware did was, if they weren’t going to show us anything of it for three years straight after that.
