Broken Age

Double Fine Productions’ Broken Age: Act 2 will be out in early 2015 according to a recent announcement from the developer. This second act will conclude the story started in, well, the first act.

To make things better, the game is already in a playable state and it’s currently averaging 8 to 12 hours to complete with testers.

“The goal now is to get all the finale work done so we can hit Alpha on all of Act 2 by the end of the year. That means, as you may have guessed based on recent updates and documentary episodes, the Act 2 ship that will deliver the complete adventure is now looking like it will be early next year.”

Broken Age began as a Kickstarter project and while it required $400,000 to fund, it ended up garnering $3.3 million from backers. Further funding was required down the line which led to Double Fine splitting the game into two acts. Stay tuned for more information down the line.
