Call of Duty: World War 2 Could Be Coming To Nintendo Switch- Rumor

Maybe Nintendo owners get to join in on the battle this year after all...

When Call of Duty: World War 2 was announced, there was no Nintendo Switch version in the mix. While many would say this should have been expected, it was nonetheless surprising as Activision ardently tried to support the Wii, Wii U, and even Nintendo DS with multiple Call of Duty installments, at least at first. Why, then, was the Switch, which is a capable and successful system, not getting one?

As it turns out, it may be. Beenox is the studio that is responsible for porting Call of Duty games across generations- it developed Modern Warfare Remastered, but more importantly, it has been developing previous generation versions of Call of Duty games for a while, now. They have just tweeted a picture of them wearing Call of Duty shirts, and regarding the visit of some personnel from the Canadian army to their studio, presumably so they could can consult with them. But if this is true, why would Beenox be consulting on Call of Duty at all? There is no previous generation version of Call of Duty this time around, and neither is there a remaster of an existing game. Many are speculating that this may be pointing at an as yet unannounced Switch version of World War 2– maybe to be announced at E3 this year?

If so, that would be a good step forward on Nintendo’s part, having secured one of the biggest games of the year for its new system.
