Before the launch of Turtle Rock Studios’ 4 vs. 1 multiplayer opus Evolve, Cat Daddy Games – part of publisher 2K Games – has released a puzzle spin-off called Evolve: Hunters Quest.

The game is available on iOS, Windows Phone, Android and Amazon for free and involves matching three tokens of the same colour to attack foes. You’ll have a super meter for special abilities and the whole thing has a bit of a Puzzle Quest vibe to it. With more than 100 missions, the main appeal is being able to earn Mastery Points which you can then apply to your Hunters or Monster.

The best part? Those Mastery Points apply to the game irrespective of platform. So if you want to while away time and level up your characters before Evolve’s launch on February 10th, Hunters Quest is a good way to do it.

Evolve will be out on PS4, Xbox One and PC so stay tuned for more information.
