343 Industries’ Halo: The Master Chief Collection has received a new patch which will further improve match-making and parties for multiplayer.

For match-making, there will be better reliability in finding parties while players on local split-screen will remain on the same team when match-making in Halo 2. You can also now use voice chat on the loading screens during the match-making process and you won’t be thrown into the wrong party by accident. Other fixes include reduced time while the roster updates, better player discovery and roster changes that will update you on recent friend activity.

As for party joining, there have been several improvements to the process. If you’re in one party but can’t join another from the Roster screen, then you’ll be able to now. Parties will also be unable to exceed the maximum allocated size on a playlist and party leaders can now assign new leaders or kick players from their party.
