Insomniac tweet hints that PSN would be back before next week

Insomniac Community James Stevenson has tweeted that he’s preparing a blog post to be posted on the PS Blog next week, which suggests that PSN should be online before the end of this week or at the start of next week.

Here’s what he said:

writing a fun playstation blog for next week 😀

Sony had earlier confirmed that they plan to bring back a few features of PSN before this week ends, in phases (region by region) and this statement goes down well to suggest that they’re still going to do that, although, it’s almost the end of the week. If everything works according to plan, PSN should be backonline by Saturday, hopefully.

We’ll keep you updated.

Not to bust everyone’s bubble or nothing like that, but there are reports that another attack will occur sometime tomorrow. Supposedly they have some of Sony’s servers already. I don’t know is what I read today. Look it up for yourselves. Aqua Out!!!

Even if they do get up and running I expect they will be hung drawn and quartered by existing Playstation Plus subscribers over this “welcome pack” info Sony released “All existing PlayStation Network customers will be provided with 30 days free membership in the PlayStation Plus premium service. Current members of PlayStation Plus will receive 30 days free service”.

So the people that paid money to get the service and have missed out since the network has been down are getting the same 30 days given free to standard PSN users to make up for missing out… eh are you having a bloody laugh Sony… welcome back bonus for Plus subscribers, aye right.
