Avalanche Studio’s Just Cause 3, the long awaited open world sandbox sequel to Just Cause 2, will have a massive game world. Just how massive? Very massive. In terms of numbers? 400 square miles. 400 square miles of utter, glorious destruction. It is, according to the new developer diary for the game that you can see below, the biggest open world in the industry.

Avalanche Studio always delivers- Just Cause 2 was an amazing, vast open world with loads of toys in the sandbox for players to fiddle around with, and Just Cause 3 looks even better, as though it understands just how an open world can benefit from the power of a modern console. Just think about all the glorious destruction you can cause! All the havoc you can wreak! You are an artist with better tools than ever before, and you have just been given a 400 square mile canvas.

Just Cause 3 will launch on December 1 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
