Kingdom Hearts 3 To Have Situation Commands

More variations in the battle system.

Kingdom Hearts 3

We still don’t know Kingdom Hearts 3 will actually be available, but that doesn’t stop director Tetsuya Nomura from talking about it. In a recent interview that he had with Japanese magazine Famitsu (translated by KH Insider), Nomura discussed the battle system that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be using.

“Yes, [the game will have Situation Commands]. In [KHIII]’s battles there are a huge amount of options, so players can actively choose which command they wish to fire off. What we see in [KH0.2] can be said to be one small part of this larger system,” he said.

“As we’ve shown once in a [KHIII] trailer, there will also be variations. Locking onto a huge amount of enemies will send Sora flying between them, landing blows as he moves from target to target. Expect to see these sorts exhilarating and fun to execute Shotlocks.”

Kingdom Hearts 3 is due out on PS4 and Xbox One… at some point in the future. We don’t really have a date for the game yet.
