Square Enix has played dress-up with their key heroine again in a short trailer for the upcoming Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. However, we’re treated to a live-action clip in which a real life actress portrays different costumes of Lightning slicing and dicing this way and that. Check it out above.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is reportedly the final game in the series, and will see Lightning return to the land of the living in an attempt to keep the world from ending. You’ll be racing against a very real doomsday clock in an attempt to save the world, completing quests and exploring areas in order to extend the time you’ve been given. FFXIII characters will make appearances, with Noel and Snow acting as antagonists to Lightning’s ways.

Releasing on November 21st in Japan, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will release on February 11th 2014 in North America and February 14th 2014 in Europe for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
