One of the biggest white whales of the gaming community currently is Marvel vs Capcom 4– the crossover series has always been popular, and in huge demand, owing to the duration between subsequent releases, but the impossibility of a fourth game ever happening, thanks to some rights issues, makes it even ore desirable, thanks to the forbidden fruit syndrome.

But with that said, all hope may not be lost- recently, Marvel has been getting back into the AAA console gaming market in a big way, with a new venture announced with Telltale Games, as well as a new, PS4 exclusive Spider-Man game. All of this makes players hopeful for a Marvel vs Capcom 4– and Marvel, it seems, is aware of this sentiment.

“There’s nothing we can say at this time,” Marvel Games vice president Jay Ong told Polygon. “Let’s just say that we hear that a lot. We love our fans and we certainly want to please them. Beyond that we can’t say anything at this time. But who knows what the future holds?”

What the future holds, hopefully, is a Marvel vs Capcom 4. Please, Marvel!
