Mass Effect Andromeda Has Gone Gold

A month before release!

Posted By | On 24th, Feb. 2017

Mass Effect Andromeda is almost a month away from release, but it looks like Bioware has wrapped up work on the game already. Posting on their Twitter account, Bioware confirmed that the game has officially gone gold- this means development on the game has been completed, and the master code for the game is now being sent out to be uploaded to store servers, and be pressed to discs.

This also means by implication that this game will not be delayed now- there might be a minor delay, maybe for marketing or logistical reasons, but in general, Final Fantasy 15 notwithstanding, games that have gone gold do not get delayed.

Mass Effect Andromeda is due out on March 21, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It looks to be a thoroughly excellent next generation refinement and evolution of the original Mass Effect, and one of the most exciting games Bioware has produced in years.
