Overwatch fans have been waiting for information on new maps ever since Blizzard recently confirmed that they’re working on some new stuff for the popular game, and it seems fans have uncovered some information that seems to hint at what these maps might be. And it’s pretty good.
According to audio files that have been datamined from Overwatch events that took place last year in June, the maps will be themed quite differently. One of the maps, its seems will be set in space. In one of the audio files, the character Winston mentions the moon, and it seems this line has remained unused in the game thus far. It should also be remembered that the Horizon Lunar Colony is also an established location in Overwatch lore.
There are also several audio clips that feature sound effects and music that is particular “space-y”. Some other files seem to hint at an underwater map. You can check out the audio files below.
