The builder's turrets will have their damage reduced in mid to late July.

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch is a fairly different game on consoles than PC. Given the less responsive nature of the controls versus a mouse and keyboard, it’s easy to see some heroes being preferred over others and some having the advantage.

Case in point, Torbjörn, a builder whose turrets can immediately lock on to enemy players and decimate them quickly. Thanks to the lack of snappiness in controls, console players have been complaining about Torbjörn’s OPness for a while now through platforms like Reddit.

Game director Jeff Kaplan responded to one such thread on Reddit and noted that, “In an upcoming patch, we will reduce the damage done by Torbjörn’s turret by 30% on Xbox One and PS4. PC will remain unchanged. ETA – Mid to late July depending on 1st party certification times.”

The Xbox One and PS4 are yet to receive the balance patch that nerfs McCree and Widowmaker – which is already available on PC. Competitive Play is also coming up by the end of this month for PC. Could all of these changes be arriving next month for consoles? We’ll find out in the coming weeks but it is odd that Blizzard is taking so long with balance changes for PS4 and Xbox One.
