Phil Spencer Discusses Bringing Halo: The Master Chief Collection to PC

'We're just focused on fixing up the Xbox One version for now.'

Halo The Master Chief Collection

With Microsoft’s renewed focus on PC gaming, their attempt to build a Microsoft ecosystem across Windows 10 and Xbox, and their promise to bring more and more of their first party games to PC in the future, the question, of course, arises as to exactly what games they are talking about. In a recent interview, he was asked if Halo: The Master Chief Collection (which includes all four numbered Halo games in one package) might be one such game.

“It’s a good question. I want—well, through the streaming, obviously people will be able to play on their PCs in their home. And bringing more and more of the right genres to PC, I think is clearly in our future. But we don’t have anything with Master Chief…I think it’s sacrilege to talk about doing anything with Master Chief now other than making the experience better on Xbox One.”

That’s not a denial, but it is not am confirmation either. I do like his attitude, though- fixing up the game as it exists now before they even think about bringing it to other platforms. That is the right attitude to have.

I wonder what games Microsoft could be mentioning bringing over to PC, though.
