A few weeks ago, Microsoft launched a new firmware update for the Xbox One that allowed users to retrieve screenshots of their favorite video games in PNG format. Sony also provides a similar feature for their PlayStation 4 console but the image is heavily compressed since it provides the screenshots in JPEG format. However this may change in the future as a PlayStation developer is looking into this issue.

Toshimasa Aoki who works on adding new features to the PlayStation 4 platform has confirmed that he will be looking into adding this feature. Please note that this is not a confirmation and the feature may or may not making its way to the PlayStation 4. Regardless, one could at least hope that this feature may be added in the future given that the developer is finally looking into it.

Talking about updates, Tidux, an industry insider who has proved to be correct on numerous occasions regarding PS4 firmware updates and what not, has revealed that a new update is incoming for the PS4. The update will fix issues found in firmware update 2.50. What exactly it will fix and when it will be released is unknown at this point. May be it will be a minor patch, mostly a stability patch. As usual take this information with a grain of salt but Tidux has a solid track record so far.

Just wanted to add a note to this: The part of about a future firmware update is a rumor.”

Issues found in 2.50??? Do you want to clarify your gaming “journalism” skills there? Yes I will take your article as an utter “grain of salt” as per usual Gamingbone. What an utterly pointless and inconclusive article.
Now do an article on the, still broken/unoptimised games installing from Xbone game discs since Nov 2013.

Um. What issues is he talking about. I haven’t really had any issues with my PS4 since update 2.5

Here is one huge issue others and I are having with it…everyone in a party sounds like robots…hope they are aware of this issue:

Oh I see. I’ve never really noticed. I’ll have a problem where suddenly one person becomes really loud for a second then quits down again.

I’ve had that you have the SONY “Gold” Headset? It gets REALLY loud, like a loud sweak and then it goes away. Only happens in Party Chat too. There’s definitely some audio issues they gotta work out with their updates.

There aren’t any issues. If there were it would effect everyone.

Umm… Bugs often occur for some people and not for all. Look it up before you state something that is clearly wrong – especially when I provided (and many others have provided in the past) links that prove you’re wrong. Look at past firmwares and any kind of computer program / beta, etc… there are always problems that do NOT affect 100% of people. Just because it doesn’t affect 100% doesn’t mean it’s not real.

    • Get Wrecked

Another sony turd can’t get past the fact that PS4 is garbage and their engineers can’t even release a bi-yearly update without bricking thousands of consoles and then having to release dozens of stability fixes. Get over it. Sony has.

Of course you don’t because there is none.
