Rogue Trooper Redux

Remember the fairly ugly Rogue Trooper that released in 2006 and received some manner of positive feedback for its bizarre premise? Rebellion is bringing it back with Rogue Trooper Redux and it now has a release date. You can look forward to taking your dead comrades into combat once more on October 17th.

If you need any incentive to revisit Rogue Trooper (assuming you drudged through it once, more than a decade ago), then a new comparison video has been released. It showcases how the characters, vehicles and weapons have received new models. The cinematics have also been remastered with new lighting implemented to give everything a much better sheen.

Rogue Trooper Redux will retail for £19.99/$24.99/€24.99 when it releases in October for Xbox One, PS4 and PC via Steam and GOG. Interestingly, it will also be coming to Nintendo Switch but a release date hasn’t been confirmed for the same. If you’re going to San Diego Comic Con between July 20th and 23rd, you can try it out on the show floor.

I drudged through it back on Xbox.
If memory serves, I remember it having great gameplay, decent voice acting (above average anyway, nothing to win awards) and bad graphics.
So by fixing the graphics, they’ve got a good game now. And it’s a great deal at 25 bucks.
I’m getting it. Wouldn’t have at 50 or 60 bucks. Take heed publishers, price accordingly.
