Upcoming fps style hand to hand combat game, Skara: The Blade Remains is due for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC later this year. GamingBolt got in touch with the game’s Commercial Director, Cesar Ortega and asked how the Xbox One version is shaping. Games on Xbox One have struggled to run at 1080p but Cesar confirmed that they are targeting 1080p and 60fps on the Xbox One.

“We hope so, but again, it’s too soon to say. The tests we made are quite encouraging so far,” Cesar said to GamingBolt. He also spoke about the PS4 and Xbox One, and how they took a mere 20 minutes to port the game to latter.

“Both systems are putting a lot of care to making life easier for developers, and that´s a huge improvement from the previous generations of consoles. We were able to port an internal build of Skara for Xbox One in less than 20 minutes, so we are dying to go deep with both systems.”

20 minutes? Wow! How much is that in dollars saved?

    • Jewy McJew

Probably tons! Sony’s & MS’s decision to use (semi) standard PC Hardware was the right move.

It’s not just Xone it was both consoles.I swear to Christ this site is run by nothing more than Xbots.

Yes, fanboyism does make you stupid.

      “both systems”

He or she is correct. So yes, it does appear this comment section is infested with Xbots. Just look at the likes. lol

    • Rai

No he or she is not. He or she is incredibly bias and got his or herself tripped up by their bias bs again -_-
That’s the reason for the likes.

You think they’d say “Xbox One and PS4 in 20 minutes”, but they didn’t. That implies they hadn’t port it to PS4 yet, but x1 already in 20 minutes, and are excited to port it to the Ps4 as well, or maybe they already had, but x1 20 min port was the fastest time.

      Lol. Usual blind Guest.

Lol, so when there is positive news for Xbox this site must be run by Xbox fans? get a grip pony.

    • John Doe

So when a person makes a factual comment, you call him a pony?

Why so negative? Rashid didn’t even hint at anything like the PS4 couldn’t do the same. PS4 was the lead platform, and ported to X1. Obviously the PS4 version didn’t need to be ported over. Don’t u think it better to have ur system be the lead, over the ported one? Creating a port in 20 min. is an awesome feat, but shouldn’t u feel good ur PS4 doesn’t need to be ported over from Xbox One? Wow. This “war” is actually real in ur mind.

    • jent

Where did you get the impression that it was designed on the PS4 as the lead platform? I am trying to find something to that effect, and all it looks like to me is that it was designed for PC first and is now being ported over to the consoles. If could provide some link to your info I would appreciate it.

GamingBolt actually revealed thru an interview that the PS4’s current API is better than Xbox (D3D), and OpenGL. Are they still Xbots?

Xb1 continues to get better and better, keep watching the new gen show folks.

Both systems keep getting better. So yeah, tone down to fanboyism a bit. lol

    • Albert Rodriguez

Tbh the only thing Sony has really only done is do minor tweaks to their system.. Microsoft on the other hand is actually doing major tweaks to their system. I have both btw..

    • Ippoletta

He doesn’t need to mention playstation period. did it occur to you that maybe he doesn’t have one? tone down your sensitivity and fanboyism.

  • Vious

even Microsoft said it: it’s easy to port, harder to optimize.

    • Bugdiecat

20 min to port, 20 fps at 640p, that’s xbone for ya.

    • Vious

You’re gonna need a bigger bait

  • BlowinStankBud

Hahahahaha to all the people that can’t afford both consoles and then bash the one they don’t have to make them feel better that they are to lazy to get off there a**, make some money and buy both. Real gamers play games. The games are on multiple systems. For those who don’t support both systems and claim superiority… enjoy missing out. Also Wii U is a great console also if you like the first party games they offer (the list is getting pretty good). I will continue to enjoy reading and laughing at your ridiculous comments on all these gaming websites while enjoying ALL the exclusive console games. As well as picking and choosing where to play third party games… because ALL the consoles are good.
