Sony: PS4 games in development, we want to “build a great machine”

Posted By | On 08th, Jun. 2012

PS4 games are in development and Sony is concentrating on building a great machine before revealing any more details, revealed Sony Worldwide Studios US head, Scott Rohde.

Actually, the way he casually revealed how PS4 games are in development was quite surprising, although there’s no mention of when the console itself will be revealed. Maybe at E3 next year targeted for a 2013 launch? Looks likely.

He also revealed that Sony isn’t worried about Wii U having a head-start this gen. “Not at all. That’s the simple answer,” he said to Joystiq.

“In very similar fashion to the way I’m talking about game development. We have a very strong vision in what we believe we’re gonna do for the next generation. And we’re not talking about it at all yet. The reality is let’s build a great machine. And we’ll talk about it then.”

This is what he said in an interview with GameTrailers: “We’re not talking about when the machine is coming out, but I think anyone on the planet knows that, of course, games are in development.”
