Phil-Spencer

Phil Spencer, the big boss of Xbox has taken to Twitter to answer fan questions and enquiries. Spencer revealed that the upcoming previews for new features on Xbox One will be interesting. “Preview is going to get interesting in the next few months. The members do a great job with the Quests etc, we’ll need it,” he tweeted. What exactly will be interesting is something we are unaware at this point but given the pace at which Microsoft have been making changes to the console, it’s something that players can possibly be excited about.

On whether there will be any Xbox One games in Holidays that will have a score of 90+ on Metacritic, Spence stated that it’s hard to predict. “Most studios hope to do this with every game they ship, game development is as much art as science, hard to predict this,” he said. He also stated that they are working on fixing issues with Party Chat. “It’s ok to complain and we are working on fixes to party chat for those who are having issues,” he added.

And whether Microsoft are planning a Windows 10 device designed for Xbox One streaming, Spencer stated that there are no plans yet but it’s something worth brainstorming over. “No announced plans yet but obviously great to have our device and Surface teams to brainstorm with about what we could do.”

“Preview is going to get interesting in the next few months.” Awesome.

  • John Nemesh

Not going to save the Xbox, folks. Unless they have some MAJOR games to announce for release this year, and BEFORE Halo 5 comes out, it’s toast.

    • Guest

Xbox doesn’t need saving. Your comment is asinine at best. Troll harder next time.

    • John Nemesh

Considering that they have a VERY weak lineup of exclusives this year, with their best titles being pushed to 2016, yes, they are in need of help.

    • CCM

I don’t know about that. The way I see it is that Sony has the stronger 1st half of 2015 with The Order (I know about the reviews but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t generate hype/sales all the same), Bloodborne, MLB The Show 15 etc. And Microsoft has the Fall/holiday season with Halo 5, Forza 6, Tomb Raider, etc. I think that Sony could be the ones in trouble this Xmas if they don’t have a few aces up their sleeves at E3 for this Fall to replace Uncharted.

    • John Nemesh

Well, you are forgetting about One Piece, Persona 5, the new Disgaea, Godzilla, Street Fighter IV, Oneechanbara, J Stars, God of War III remaster, Until Dawn, Ratchet & Clank, Omega Quintet, Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster, Ether One, Ravens Cry, Tropico 5, Darksiders 2, and probably a couple of others I am forgetting. Face it, Xbox has nothing to compete with the majority of those titles. Halo 5 is about the only “system seller” on your list. Xbox fans keep trotting out Forza like it’s a huge deal. Look at sales figures for the past couple games…it’s not a system seller, nor even that popular! Whatever, I am not going to convince those that already drank the Kool-aid, no matter how many facts I post.

    • CCM

Dude I own BOTH the XB1 and PS4 so I’m not picking a side here. Hate to break it to you on the topic of “system sellers” but One Piece, Persona 5, Disgaea, Godzilla and many others you listed are not either – especially not in the US. The “big name” games on that list are God of War III, Ratchet & Clank and Street Fighter IV. Maybe FFX/X-2 even though it’s a remaster of a remaster. Point is as far as “big name” exclusives go XB1 has the edge (so far) this holiday season.

    • John Nemesh

Well, with the possible exception of Godzilla, I will posit that the least of these games will still sell better than Forza or Fable Legends (even though Fable Legends is Pay to win)

    • CCM

Perhaps since a lot of those games appeal more to the Japanese/Asian market where PS4 is much stronger than XB1. However, just because Justin Bieber sells more albums than a lot of other artists and McDonald’s sells more burgers than anyone else, it doesn’t mean it’s good music or food. Point being sales don’t always = quality.

    • John Nemesh

well as that waste of human flesh Bieber will tell you, profitable quantity beats money losing quality every single time! Seriously, though, PS4 has more games, and more HIGHLY RATED games than Xbox. This has always been the case in previous gens, and it’s PAINFULLY obvious now as well. It’s only going to get worse (for xbox) from here on out too.

    • CCM

I will agree that the PlayStation family of consoles have pretty much always had the largest, most diverse game library that appeals to a wider audience of all ages, sexes and tastes than either Nintendo or Microsoft. The fact the PS3 has now sold more consoles world-wide than the 360 did in a whole year less time on the market sort of validates this.

However, so far, I’m overall a bit disappointed with the PS4, specifically exclusive-wise thus far. What is Sucker Punch working on? What about Guerilla? Where’s The Last Guardian? Too many studios and too much silence so far. Sony needs a BIG E3 because even though the PS4 has outsold the XB1 roughly 21 million to 11 million, I still feel Microsoft has slowly but surely been gaining momentum while PS4 has been slowly losing it, especially in the US which was the 360’s strongest market.

    • John Nemesh

100% agree with you on the first part! Sony DOES need to finally let the cat out of the bag and let us know what is going on with “Last Guardian”! SOON! Also, all we have heard from Sucker Punch and Guerilla are teases…nothing concrete at all. I am hoping E3 is where they finally spill the beans on what those guys are up to!

As to Xbox’s “momentum”…there I disagree. They HAVE picked up some in the US and UK, but nowhere else. It’s a global game these days, and just winning in the US alone is not enough to make the console successful. It should also be noted that MS is “competing” by drastically slashing the price of their console…and when they aren’t, the retailers, overstocked with consoles that aren’t moving. I have seen “deals” for the XB1 with 2 games and an extra controller for £350 in the UK! Meanwhile the PS4 is still at it’s original launch price.

To me, personally, I can’t see buying an Xbox, ever. There are NO games that appeal to me, other than MAYBE Halo. Forza never appealed to me, and the other exclusives are a joke…a bad one at that. I made my purchasing decision when the specs of the two consoles were announced. No “secret sauce” is going to give the XB1 hardware parity with the PS4, and we already know what the situation is like with regards to the number (and quality) of exclusive game titles.

I honestly think that this is the “last gasp” for the Xbox as a separate gaming console. I think it’s death knell is the announcement that Microsoft is making it so programs written for Windows 10 will run on any platform. I CAN see MS spinning Xbox into a PC centric platform for games, but I CANT see them continuing to flush millions of dollars a year down the drain, as they have been since the original Xbox was launched.

    • DLConspiracy//

Millions of dollars down then drain? Their XBL makes them enormous amounts of cash. You think they are going to pull the plug on more than half a billion dollars a year and growing? Last gen it was even more. MS is also selling windows and the PC community is getting bigger and bigger each year. These consoles are practically that. This is why we hear complaints of this gen of consoles (ps4 and xb1) not feeling like next gen. They see Xbox owners also buying windows and gaming PCs. So for that reason alone they won’t pull the plug.

    • John Nemesh

No, they have NEVER turned a profit on the Xbox division. The ONLY way they show a profit is by rolling it in with things like the licensing fees they extort from Android manufacturers. Xbox on it’s own? NEVER profitable. EVER. FACT. Look it up.

    • DLConspiracy//

I said XBL. Why else do you think they wanted all digital. Digital has much lower overhead. Its easier to get to the consumer for those impulse buys too. XBL subscriptions help them out greatly. Hardware is just the box that helps them sell digital. Also the reason you will find more apps on it too. Partnership deals and sales. It keeps both sides happy.

    • John Nemesh

The Xbox DIVISION, including XBL and digital sales has not turned a profit. FULL STOP. Again, the ONLY way their earnings statements have shown a positive balance is because they lump in everything in a “devices and services” category.

    • DLConspiracy//

Where are you seeing this? Just curious.

    • John Nemesh
    • DLConspiracy//

Well it is an Investment. It’s not like everything makes money the first year or two. Sometimes it snowballs into more money. Yes, PS4 is doing better, but that doesn’t mean Xbox is hurting. They have MS to lean on. They understand it’s an investment that takes time to make money back on. Let’s talk towards the end of the gen before we start burning Xbox at the stake for witchery and supposed poor sales. It’s not that DIRE.

I know you desperately want Xbox and MS to fail. Which is fine, but just don’t drag gamers through the mud because you have a preference. That’s all I have ever tried to say and because I say so it comes off as though I am a fanboy. When all you seem to do online is tear peoples enjoyment apart to validate a purchase. Try sticking to being positive about games and less about corporate blow jobery. I mean.. Do you want a monopoly? Purchasing the console is support enough. You don’t need S their D. Both these companies make each other work hard at making US happy.

    • John Nemesh

I am talking about over 10 years here. How long are they supposed to wait for a return on that investment?

    • CCM

I agree with you on some points, but not on others but to each their own.

As an owner of both the XB1 and PS4 here are my general rules of thumb. I buy most multiplatform games on the PS4 due to slightly better resolution/performance (not always but usually) and my personal preference for the amazing (other than battery life) DualShock 4 controller.

Only cases where I’d buy a multiplatform game on XB1 over PS4 would be if it was proven to perform better or if it has online multiplayer as more of my real-life friends have the XB1 so (at least for me) I find it more fun to play with my actual friends rather than mostly strangers.

For me my XB1 was purchased a full year after my PS4 as a secondary console mainly for exclusives like Titanfall, Halo MCC, Sunset Overdrive, Project Spark and Killer Instinct as well as future exclusives. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the XB1 will always be my secondary console.

In fact last generation it was the opposite. I bought the 360 in Jan of ’06 (couldn’t find one at launch, didn’t pre-order) as my main console and the PS3 in like July of ’07 as a secondary console for exclusives and a Blu-ray player. By the end of last-gen they flipped around and PS3 became more of my go-to machine. So If Sony drops the ball and Microsoft takes advantage, you never know. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. These systems are only 1.5 years into their 6 or 7 year life cycle. A lot can happen in that time. I’m just glad I own both so I can go along for the ride.

    • John Nemesh

Fair enough. Personally, I saw no need to get the Xbox One, and I sold off my 360s that I had. I had enough of Microsoft when they announced their “vision” at E3 2013. I didn’t want Kinect, didn’t want their DRM scheme, and even though they backed down from all of their anti-consumer policies, I don’t like the way they are continuing to do business. I saw no need for their “multimedia” functions, and dislike their focus on apps instead of games.

    • Orion Wolf

And yet that’s what Sony is doing with the ps4.

Sony is bundling ps eyes for “free” with every ps4 in some stores – possibly because of project Morpheus; DRM was
present in DriveClub, but removed after people started bi*ching about it (and yet people quickly forgot about that little “incident” even though they were trying to implement DRM – you know what everyone was bashing MS for at the 2013 e3), its present in PS Now, and in online only games like Destiny.

      Anti-consumer policies?

    • This Guy

      Spectacular post. Hypocrisy all around.

    • John Nemesh

Havent seen camera bundles…and dont have one for my system. And no, I dont like the way ms does business.

    • This Guy

Do you like the way Sony does business?

    • John Nemesh

So far, I haven’t tripped over any of the negativity that some others are complaining about. The last thing they did that concerned me was the rootkit issue, but that was Sony MUSIC, not SCEA.

    • This Guy

So you like the DRM attempts, server cut off policies, constant lies, and poor customer service?

    • John Nemesh

The few times I have had to deal with customer service, I have gotten EXCELLENT help. DRM hasn’t ever been an issue for me (I buy all my games digitally, I can play them on any console I choose to)…and server cut off policies haven’t affected me.

    • This Guy

You buy all your games digitally? So you have no resaleability of your games meaning you technically do not own them which is one of the things you stated swayed you to the PS4 from the X1 even though it reversed that policy before launch. Correct?

    • This Guy

Point made. Hypocrisy. Everyone wags their finger at MS than goes and hugs Sony.

    • John Nemesh

Big difference. I have the OPTION to buy retail games, and to resell them. I also have the OPTION to buy my games digitally. MS wanted to remove the choice.

    • This Guy

And you still have the option now on the X1. The fact that you cried and pouted about not being able to buy retail discs even though you had no intent to ever do so makes you not only a hypocrite, but an habitual complainer. It’s like complaining about a restaurant’s gluten free policy even though you’re not allergic to it or know anyone that is. Just as proven by your comments on this thread, you just like to stir up trouble even if it’s of no benefit to you.

    • DLConspiracy//

Uh yeah that is a little weird john. You own no retail discs and only buy digital yet have a huge problem with Xbox wanting to go digital? That’s a bit odd if you ask me. You can’t complain about it and support it… Then complain about something that never came to fruition on top of it. Sounds like your fell into the popularity pile hard and the fanboying is all because of fitting in? $400 dollars is not expensive. Nor is $500. Sounds like you are bored my man.

    • LGK
    • John Nemesh

the Sony “hack” was nothing more than a DDOS attack run by script kiddies. Try harder.

    • LGK

Are you serious? What rock have you been living under? I’m not talking about the lizard squad DDOS attack on XBL and PSN. I’m talking about the big Sony hack that apparently was orchestrated by North Korea that everyone was talking about.

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Pictures_Entertainment_hack

    • John Nemesh

You mean the hack that was on Sony PICTURES? That had NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY ZERO to do with SCEA.

    • LGK

I was talking about Sony as a whole in general, that was the whole point.

    • DLConspiracy//

You will never speak reason to this guy. He’s nice enough but still a troll. People like you and me can find enjoyment out of both consoles. He’s still stuck in the console wars inside his head.

    • John Nemesh

It’s not about “winning” a console war. It’s about supporting the better hardware with more games to play. It’s about rejecting Microsoft’s “vision” for how the gaming industry should be….

    • DLConspiracy//

The vision that was changed due to bad management? From a guy who got fired? Yeah… That never happened.

    • Mark

Well, fair question; what on that list will sell a substantial amount of PS4’s?

    • Pedro Oliveira

The information i got lists those games you cited for 2016…

Nintendo isn’t a system seller either but it still has great games.

Your justifications shows you don’t know what you want, you are like a ship, you do what everybody else do…

    • Barry Harden

For you Xbots, just go to http://www.listwar.com for extensive lists of released and upcoming games.

You can see the PS4 wins hands down on sheer number and quality of games. Cut your loses and sell the XBone foks.

    • This Guy

It’s easy to announce upcoming games. Delivering them is a whole other thing entirely.

    • Orion Wolf
    • This Guy

      Exactly.

    • Barry Harden

If it’s announced it’s more than likely to be released. You only have Halo to look forward to. Let’s hope for your sake it doesn’t turn out to be the buggy disaster Halo MCC turned out to be.

    • This Guy

Boy Halo is always the go to for any Sony fan when getting in an Xbox fan’s face.

But you’re right, if it’s announced it will “more than likely” get released, but when it a whole different story. Maybe next week, maybe 10 years from now. Rockstar announced heists for GTA V before it was even launched, but haven’t released it until the next gen came out!!

And yes MCC was the Driveclub of Xbox.

    • John Nemesh

Those are games already announced for 2015, NOT 2016

    • Reality Modeler

@John Nemesh, I hope you don’t call MS fans shills when they praise MS, especially when you write comments that look as if you’re shilling (I only think it looks that way)… that kind of ironic hypocrisy seems common among Sony fans (“FACT!”).

Mostly young boys are who would like that list of mostly anime inspired titles. Anime’s popularity is not nearly as strong as it once was, and I personally think the sound of voices used in anime is extremely annoying (young children’s voices really grate my nerves, even more than undubbed Asian languages, though even more when they’re combined). Unless someone likes anime, XBox One has a FAR better lineup and much more interesting platform feature changes this holiday season. Sony would be smart to more westernize anime the way that Cowboy Bebop was done that had a Japanese band that I would have sworn was American and remains my favorite in that genre (and that series didn’t have many annoying voices other than Edward who didn’t talk much).

Personally, I am hoping all the DirectX 12 games have the amazing lighting seen in Fable Legends (Sony fans are probably too concerned with bigger Ps to notice the difference and don’t see Bloodborne as being badly lit other than where light is focused to reveal its impressive scene complexity… they don’t see how much they’re missing with last gen lighting while they harp about how much less they’re graphically missing, again ironic). If most DX12 games do have that kind of improved lighting, all the PS4 games will look as if they’re rendering last gen graphics, especially based on the screenshots I just saw looking up those games you listed that look “dim” and not very “bright” as far as lighting… most of them looked like last gen games in higher resolution with the same bad lighting, that Sony fans will claim is BS as they harp pointing out brightly colored games and colorful light effects, as if that is the same as what I am describing. Here’s a year old example (that isn’t even the best example) of the lighting difference between what I think last gen and next gen lighting looks like (the meadow before and after scene),

      http://wccftech.com/unreal-engine-4-dynamic-gi-screenshot-comparison-fable-legends-screenshots-show-xbox-graphics-power/

Here’s screenshots that don’t show before and after as in the previous link though try imagining how boringly lit and dim the same scenes would look on PS4 for comparison,

      http://wccftech.com/fable-legends-beautiful-screenshots-directx-12-title/

Sony fans will not realize all the details that are missing with their last gen lighting, such as they will excuse this Bloodborne scene as being dark and lacking detail by design rather than rendering limitation (as if we shouldn’t be able to see the facial detail and wall statue detail UP CLOSE unless a light source is specifically set shining to reveal it, and that the scene is slightly foggy is still not reason enough for lacking THAT much detail),

      http://s.pro-gmedia.com/videogamer/media/images/ps4/bloodborne/screens/bloodborne_27.jpg

Versus these dark scenes in Fable Legends, notice how much detail can be seen in the far away faces IN SHADOWS and the detail in the far away darkly lit distance where the stairs are at,

      http://www.videogamer.com/xboxone/fable_legends/screenshot-30.html
      or
      http://www.videogamer.com/xboxone/fable_legends/screenshot-12.html

It will be fun hypocrisy to watch when Sony fans deny the importance of increased visible detail and more REAListic lighting that looks far less cookie cutter, AKA a trademark of last gen graphics.

    • John Nemesh

Nope, dont call them anything really…occasionally xbots, thats about it.

    • Guest

For 2015 they only have Fable Legends, Halo 5, Forza 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider… probably one or two others I’m not thinking of.

I said troll harder, not troll stupider…

    • John Nemesh

You kind of made my point for me there. Good job!

    • bardock5151

The only decent exclusive listed this year for the PS4 came out last month.

Who has the weak line up?

    • John Nemesh

“One Piece, Persona 5, the new Disgaea, Godzilla, Street Fighter IV, Oneechanbara, J Stars, God of War III remaster, Until Dawn, Ratchet & Clank, Omega Quintet, Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster, Ether One, Ravens Cry, Tropico 5, Darksiders 2, and probably a couple of others I am forgetting”…quoted from my other post in the thread. Plenty of “decent” games right there. Not to mention “indies” like No Man’s Sky…which will still sell better than the so-called “AAA” titles announced for Xbox.

    • bardock5151

A bunch of remasters and niche titles? No thanks.

    • John Nemesh

Thats all “AAA” games. More “indies” that I didnt bother listing. Oh, and I should mention, xbox has not ONE game to compete with ANY of these. Your next AAA game is Halo in OCTOBER.

    • John Nemesh

Yeah, Ratchet & Clank is sooo niche, right? What will you be playing on your Xbox that is coming out this year? Oh yeah, that’s right. NOTHING.

    • Guest

      bwhahahah!!

      Thanks! That made my day

    • Pedro Oliveira

      all them listed for 2015?

    • John Nemesh

      Yes. All announced for 2015.

    • Nathan O

So pretty much all games I’ve played already. Great

    • John Nemesh

Only 2 remastered games in that list. Deny reality all you want, not gonna change the outcome.

    • Nathan O

Sure only 2 remasters but don’t pretend games like Tropico 5 , Darksiders 2 and Oneechanbara are new games. I’ve beaten every one of them over a year ago now

    • JerkDaNERD7

But some of those games I can play on my X360 or PC. It’s like Sony is buying up any niche exclusive they can as long as it’s not on XOne. lol! …smh

    • bardock5151

5 actually. Tropico, darksiders 2, final fantasy, god of war and Godzilla.

    • JoinTheRest

Lmfao worst list of games I have ever seen dude

    • John Nemesh

Sure bub, sure. Keep thinking that.

    • LGK

      LOL

Most of these games I haven’t even heard off lmao. Yeah I think I’ll stick with Xbox.

    • John Nemesh

Just because YOU havent heard of them doesnt mean that other, real gamers havent either.

    • LGK

“Real gamers”? Please define “real gamers” for me.

Let me guess… People who only play on PS4?

    • John Nemesh

People that play games other than bro-shooters.

    • This Guy

So because people like to play a particular genre more than another means they’re not real gamers?

    • John Nemesh

Yup. If you automatically disregard a LONG list of DIVERSE games because “none of it appeals to you”, I would say you fit the description. Enjoy your Halo, bro.

    • This Guy

Well let’s see, so far on my X1 I own 2 shooters, 3 RPGs, more platformers then I can count, 2 racing games, 3 third person action games. That’s just off the top of my head as I’m not home. Yeah nothing but bro shooters.

    • LGK

I prefer Xbox over PS but I actually have never played Gears of War and i hate COD (my last cod was MW3). But I play Halo and I have since 2001, and I wouldn’t trade any game from any platform with Halo. Playstation has nothing that comes close to Halo.
The only game that made me want to buy a PS3 last-gen was TLoU.

I don’t just play on Xbox, I play on PC too. Where indie games are actually good and worth playing.

    • WryMouthX

Weak? still stronger than PS4s in 2015.

    • John Nemesh

You are delusional. Sony has something like 20 AAA games (plus those indies you like to sneer at) compared to Microsoft and their 5 or 6.

    • CCM

Not sure a console that’s currently selling better at this point in it’s life cycle than it’s predecessor which sold over 85 million units to date needs to be saved? XB1 is selling very well, it’s just that the PS4 is selling incredibly well. Wii U is the console that needs saving if anything.

    • John Nemesh

Selling better, sure. But where they were turning a profit with every 360 sold, they are posting a LOSS with every Xbox One. WiiU is indeed in trouble, I agree with you there…but the Xbox is the one with the most to lose at this point. Nintendo still has the 3DS to keep them in the game. MS has…well, they have Windows, for whatever that is worth.

    • i3myX1

What a troll collection of “facts”! Grow up man, there is no such thing as a console war for people who care about gaming.
PS4 and Xbox One both sell extraordinary well. Nothing to worry about here.

    • John Nemesh

You are gonna be really surprised when MS pulls the plug.

    • i3myX1

Yeah I would be, as there is absolutely no reason why they would do that. I rather could imagine Sony selling Playstation before MS drops Xbox. But then I think both scenarios are very very very unlikely to happen since both consoles are doing very well.

    • Mark

Pretty sure Microsoft will support the X1 for quite awhile…….doom n gloom, such doom and gloom.

    • Pedro Oliveira

Whe they post a LOSS they mean that not profited “more”, that is, they failed to reach the goal, but still profited.

    • John Nemesh

No, loss means loss…as in they spent more money than they took in. Spin it however you want, Xbox has always been a money loser for MS.

    • Pedro Oliveira

      you are wrong.

    • John Nemesh

Nope, I am 100% correct, and I have links in another reply for proof. Get a clue.

    • Pedro Oliveira

      Stop lying…

I see you have the need to own an Xbox One, just save money to buy one.

    • i3myX1

      Wow! Just wow… Grow up!

    • Sledg

      LOL! What?

    • DLConspiracy//

So surprised to see John here in a positive article about Xbox spreading his negativity around. I would have never expected to see john trolling an article that he would have no interest in. *extreme sarcasm* Poor guy needs to feel ultra relevant all the time. Looks like we have a console war vet on our hands. One with post traumatic stress disorder. The war will always be raging in his parents basement… Poor john. ;p

    • Mark

“Console war post traumatic stress disorder” lol! Ready at Dawn shoulda hired him for some mo-cap for The Order……..wait, did they? Lol

    • JoinTheRest

Well xbox does that the rest of the year on lock while ps owners are still waiting for greatness

    • Barry Harden

Yes locked down to low resolution and awfully predictable exclusives. *yawn*

Nothing good about the XBone at all. Weak console is weak.

    • JoinTheRest

atleast xbox doesnt lie about resolution to its fans lmfao (killzone)
atleast xbox doesnt have a huge exclusive that runs at 10-15fps lmfaoo (bloodborne)
atleast xbox has the only next gen game to run at 1080p 60fps lmfaooo (forza 5)

atleast xbox has games this year.

      halo 5
      tomb raider
      fable
      smite
      gigantic
      state of decay
      forza 6

hahha what does sony have? some asian anime game in 1080pzzzz lmaaaaaooooooooooo
enjoy waiting for greatness you sheep

    • John Nemesh

      Halo 5, legit
      Tomb Raider – Timed exclusive
Fable – Pay to Win, FAIL (the whole franchise is a fail IMO)
      Smite – legit
      Gigantic – legit
      State of Decay – legit
Forza 6 – ANOTHER Forza? It’s not a great series guys, and racing sims are even more limited than the “niche” titles I listed.

So you have 4 legitimate games, one pay to win game, and a tired franchise that has an annual release schedule “just because”. That is what’s known as “weak”.

    • JoinTheRest

I’m purchasing a whole thrustmaster tx set with pedals and gear shifter today so yeah lmao can’t wait for forza, Fable is so much better than anything ps4 had on offer this year

  • CCM

I really like Phil, he’s done so much to turn this ship around in the last almost 2 years. He’s just a likable guy who you know is a gamer himself so he’s in tune and in touch with what gamers want.

  • dead fanboy

Xbox One exclusive games are going to be awesome starting with State of Decay Year One Survival Edition and so on. I’m very excited for Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Fable Legends.

    • JerkDaNERD7

Yes, State of Decay no doubt. Also is it me or do I have a feeling that after the Year One Edition is released, Undead Labs will soon after announce the next game? I highly think they will. It only makes sense. ;D

  • d0x360

They are changing party chat from peer to peer into dedicated servers aren’t they? That should fix the issue some people have with NAT and not being able to hear some friends. Its an easy fix on the users end but Microsoft appears to want to make it idiot proof so gotta give credit for that. Right now audio quality is using a decent codec with landline telephone like fidelity. I wonder if that will change? I wouldnt mind DVD quality voice audio but I know not dveyonehas the bandwidth. Even at 1mbps that could soak 1/5 of the average Americans connection and thats about DVD quality.

  • WryMouthX

I hope to god Alan Wake reboot is coming to XO…please god!!!

    • Truthhurts24

      Me 2

    • JerkDaNERD7

Probably will be announced next year though.

  • Truthhurts24

Phil has revived the Xbox division awesome leader unlike dumb Mattrick

  • XanderZane41

    Greatness is coming….

    • JoinTheRest

Greatness has been here from day one my friend, that comment belongs on a ps4 article lmao

  • YOUDIEMOFO

Well microsoft already announced that if you want exclusives you had better play on a PS4……. They are going to put out what they have been working on of course, but I believe that Microsoft is going to drop exclusivity and go for parity between their PC games and XBOne games. (Cough…..cough….. Windows 10!)
