Square Enix has announced details for the final closed beta of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn for the PS4. The beta will launch on April 4 at 1 AM PDT and will be shut down on April 7 at the same time. You will not, however, be able to play the beta unless you’ve got Version 1.62 of the PS4 system software.

Existing players will be allowed to use their own characters from the live game, and testing will be executed on the live servers. Meanwhile, Square Enix is also opening up three new servers for different regions. These are: Mana (Japan), Jenova (NA/EU) and Zodiark (NA/EU).

You will be able to download this client as soon as the beta launches from PSN, and if you took part in the previous beta, you should delete that client first.

The complete game itself is launching on the PS4 on April 14, which is just twelve days away now. Are you looking forward to it? Tell us in your comments.
