Starcraft Remastered

Blizzard’s acclaimed real-time strategy game StarCraft is back with StarCraft: Remastered, an HD update which brings improved graphics and a ton of other features. It can currently be purchased here or via the Blizzard Shop.

StarCraft: Remastered includes the base game and the Brood War expansion. Along with a graphical upgrade with Ultra HD support for up to 4K resolution and wide-screen, the remaster includes matchmaking and leaderboards, Cloud save functionality and cross-multiplayer support with the original versions of the game.

Players can also experience improved music and sound effects; profiles that track one’s statistics; and the ability to actually switch between the original and Remastered versions of the game with a single button press.

With the release of StarCraft: Remastered, it now remains to be seen when Blizzard will remaster titles like Warcraft 3 and Diablo 2. We’ve already seen hints of the same in the past and the developer has been updating Warcraft 3 recently, opening a Public Test Realm server to test changes.
