Nintendo has updated its “million sellers” list to include the most successful titles from last year and wouldn’t you know it but Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS are both on the list.

The crossover fighting game starring Nintendo characters beating the ever loving tar out of each other has been hugely successful on the Wii U since launching in November 2014. It’s already sold 3.39 million copies worldwide but it’s surpassed by the 3DS version which released in September 2014 and sold 6.19 million copies globally.

Other interesting figures include Mario Kart 8 which sold 11.42 million copies, Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire which sold 9.35 million copies and New Super Mario Bros. 2 at 9.01 million copies. Pokemon X & Y towers over them though with 13.70 million copies sold thus far.

Super Smash Bros. Wii U has also been in the news for a recent update that added 15 new stages. Have you experienced them yet? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
