The Order 1886 Will Have One Ending, Game Will Blow Away Players With Seamless Filmic Integration

Multiple user choices will not result into different endings.

The Order 1886

The Order 1886 has been subject to much debate and controversy regarding its quick time events and the some what uneven gameplay. The developers haven’t shown much about the the game ever since its reveal at E3 2013, although a few minutes of gameplay footage was showcased at this year’s E3.

The game will have several quick time events that will shape the narrative aspect of the game. But does this mean there will be more than one ending? After all, multiple choices should result into different endings, right? That does not seem to be the case as the developers are aiming for one concrete ending.

“It’s a story driven linear experience. There are some branches here and there and different ways to do things, but we’re trying to tell one story with one compelling ending,” Ready At Dawn’s Marc Turndorf told to GamingBolt.

On a related note, there is no doubt the game looks absolutely fantastic and perhaps it’s the closest to CG in real time in video games. The flimic integration is obviously one of the selling points of the game and the developers are confident it. “We think it’s gonna blow players away with the seamless integration of filmic and gameplay in one awesome package,” Marc believes.

The Order 1886 releases in February 2015, exclusively on the PlayStation 4.

sounds like you play it once, maybe twice, and that’s it

As a guy with a wife/job/dog/other hobbies, I’ll be fine if I can get 15 hours out of it. After all, I pay $15 for a two hour movie…so $60 for a 10-15 hour game is just right.

    • Brian Evans

well if you enjoy that, then good luck

    • Georges

Same as any linear game, you play it as many times as you want at the difficulty you want, plus this one is probably very immersive. You dont like you dont buy, easy

    • Porcu Peth

those are usually the best games.

      meh….thats your opinion

  • Russell Gorall

The gameplay I have seen looks clunky, and slows the framerate down. They seem to be graphics first, gameplay second… but they can’t get the game to run properly.

So, it is basically like trying to get a cutscene to pose as your game.

I watched it in person on the show floor at e3, and this isn’t the case. The worst you could say is it plays like every gears of war, except without meat headed dude bros…. And insane graphics.

    • Russell Gorall

In other words, all gameplay they have shown isn’t the game?

    • Not_true

The Order seems like a well done third person shooter with gameplay variety and a strong story . It will probably review and sell well. You should give the game a chance or wait for more details before condemning it.

“Cover shooters” with a story focus are among some of the highest rated games last gen (The Last of Us, Uncharted, Gears of War, Mass Effect, etc.). TLOU gameplay is considered good on the highest difficulty mode with a focus on survival, conservation, and stealth.

    • Russell Gorall

Define “well done third person shooter”? Then explain to me how the story and gameplay are good?

I see a game that tumbles in framerate of the player whenever there is actual combat.

You say it seems like a gameplay variety game, with a strong story. How do you know any of that?

We are both looking at the same things. It looks like a movie with tech problems.

Lol no. Framerate is 30 locked according to devs and all the latest footage I’ve seen. Go to gamersyde’s E3 2014 demo playthrough footage and look for framedrops.

Wait for more footage. The Order devs claim they want lots of variety in the gameplay.

The developer was also quick to shut down speculation that the hotly anticipated adventure will be little more than a straightforward third-person shooter. “[There will be a] lot variety in the things that you do moment to moment,” he added.

    • Russell Gorall

Sorry, just watching gameplay with my eyes.

    • Not_true

I agree they need to show more gameplay.

    • ineedgames

They did say the game was made to show off what the game could do.

    • Russell Gorall

      No idea what that means.

    • ineedgames

Sorry. *What the Console can do as in Show off its power.

  • Eden’s Cross

FFS how many times are they gonna say “filmic”

  • Guest

This is starting to reek of desperation. This game will fail to live up to the hype like so many Sony games. Filmic experiences are crappy games, period. Sony PaupRs are crybabies at best.
