If you weren’t outraged enough to see the work that’s gone into Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for Konami’s line-up of pachinko machines, then these accompanying screens will only make you feel worse (courtesy of NeoGAF).

And lest you think plenty of these are just character renders, then a few comparisons with the original game and the current pachinko machine’s visuals have been provided. It’s almost hilarious how much detail went into this but then again, it’s still not as much work as a full remake would have warranted.

After the release of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and director Hideo Kojima’s departure from the company, Konami expressed its interest in focusing on mobile games and its highly profitable pachinko business. Though interest has been expressed in continuing the Metal Gear Solid series, it could be a while before we see a true successor to Kojima’s titles.

What are your thoughts on the Metal Gear Solid pachinko machine though? Let us know in the comments.
