Vita’s battery lasts 4 hours 29 mins with everything on maximum

Some one did a battery test on GAF, and the results are quite surprising. I don’t think you require a NYKO adapter with this one folks, as the battery life on maximum can last upto 4 hours 29 minutes as shown below.

This is much better than what the PSP could accomplish, and considering the fact that there is no optical media drive in the Vita, it helps immensely when it comes to battery life.

Battery Test:

  • 3G/Wifi Model
  • Mobile Data (3G) ON (but is probably over-riden by…
  • Wifi ON (connected to home network) — this means I was getting notifications/etc the whole time, all on
  • Bluetooth OFF
  • Brightness MAX (note: Brightness in OS MAX, caps in-game at about 80% [battery saving measure — even 80% brightness is really bright…])
  • Near Auto-Updating ON
  • Headphones, volume at 50%

Time was spent: Play UMvC3 from Game Card (including about 30 minutes of Online play)
Occasionally flipping to Web Browser for quick look-ups, as well as Trophies app to check trophies (game kept running in the background, obviously)

  • My 3DS battery lasts around 1:50:00 hours with brightness in max and 3D on..

3DS is 3d but low resolution
VIta is 2D but has HD resolution (for mobile, pixel density) and it’s much bigger

So, VITA maybe has around of two times the batery duration of 3ds..

A curiosity that i have is now much time need to wait to recharge, 3ds is around 3 hours :/

Honestly, maybe your 3DS’ battery is defected or something, because on an average, a 3DS’ battery life is 4-5 hours. And that is with 50% 3D, Wi-fi on, brightness on the highest level and full volume.

Yeah, I’m with Shub… your battery may be damaged. My bro’s 3DS lasts on average 4 hours depending on the 3D effect, what game he’s playing etc.
