Geralt Overlooking A Wide Vista

Unless you are living under a rock, photo mode allows you to take in-game screenshots by applying all kind of different filters and camera angles. Several games like DriveClub and The Last of Us utilized this feature resulting into some awesome photos. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a beautiful game so it’s only obvious that it should support a photo mode sometime in the future, right?

Apparently there are no plans for the same. CD Projekt’s Marcin Momot has confirmed that although he likes taking screenshots every minute, there are no plans to have this feature at the moment. So if you are planning to capture some photos with added filtering and awesome effects, you would need to do all the custom editing yourself.

Also it seems that there are players who although play their games on the PC but use the PS4’s DualShock 4 instead. For those wondering whether the corresponding button icons can be changed, worry not as CD Projekt is planning to implement this. Honestly, this is something that they can put on a back burner or ignore it, but this is CDPR we are talking about.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now and our initial technical impressions are already up. Our full review and face off will be live soon.

gaming has become a photoset , glad i’m planning on buying and playing RETRO where REAL GAMING LIVES

Been into the game for 5 to 6 hours now and the only problem that bugged me so much was the frame drops, severed frame drops especially when it’s raining. You’ll never pass rotating the camera without having the frame drops under the weather. Day 1 patch is not enough. The developers should fix this or I’m going to literally lose my mind!

Currently having The Witcher 3 on PS4.

According to wccftech the day 1 patch actually reduced the detail settings on consoles and you’re still getting problems that’s bad, although saying that I don’t think I’ve played it whilst raining on pc so can’t tell.

R u rocking Ultra settings @ 60fps? I bet it looks nuts, if even the console version is handsome.

    • Psionicinversion

No I’m running high ultra textures and details after looking at NVIDIA site which shows comparisons of settings there’s virtually no difference between high and ultra. But there is a fair bit of difference between ultra and medium but you still have to look for it. Rocking about 50fps. The frame rate is more important, feels like crap when I’m approaching 30 dunno how console players cope with it

Lol! 30 frames is ok for me, but when it dips especially in cutscenes, it’s jarring. Also, I hate how Giralt just “walks thru” the grass….it’s ugly as heck. Still an awesome game tho. Have fun.

30 frames feels like sh’t to me dude. its ok past 45 for me but when it gets below 40 heading towards 30 it feels really sluggish and unresponsive compared to the higher framerate.

I hear u. I’d prob feel the same if I play on PC, but to each his own…..

I hope they enable Dual shock 3 as well. I can emulate mine to run as an Xbox 360 controller, and it works fine, but I would like to see the correct button overlay while playing.
