If you’ve been having a blast playing a younger version of James Bond in 007 First Light, you’re probably going to be happy to know you’re not alone. IO Interactive’s take on a younger, more brash version of the legendary MI6 operative has drawn a lot of praise since its release.
A new accolades trailer showcases a very strong critical reception for the cinematic stealth-action title, which you can check out. We found a lot to love about it in our own review, and it seems that the rest of the gaming world strongly agrees that it feels like one of the best titles to bring Bond to life.
We were particularly impressed by how well stealth has been integrated into the gameplay loop. Then there’s the combat, which is brutally satisfying without letting up on the challenge it offers. And if that isn’t enough, the way that First Light presents its story and set-pieces makes the whole thing feel like a delightfully interactive Bond movie without leaning too much on Hitman’s DNA.
If you’ve been on the fence about picking up a copy, the trailer below is sure to help you make up your mind. 007 First Light is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version out this Summer.
