Prototype

While The Hulk showcased Radical Entertainment’s superhero side, Prototype went with more of an anti-hero and even more wanton destruction. As Alex Mercer, players embark on a journey through Manhattan to recover his memories while the city collapses from a virus outbreak. Mercer was infected but used that for killer abilities, creating damaging whips, armor and even powerful divebombs.

The sheer devastation is something to behold as everything, from the environment to enemies and bystanders, is utterly decimated. The sheer fun of the gameplay is undeniable, and the well-designed missions and compelling story only made it that much more endearing. Plus, Alex could randomly consume people to add to your biomass. How isn’t that a win?
