Saints Row 4
From the streets to outer space, Saints Row 4 took an interesting approach with its superpowers. After an invasion by Zinyak, the player must fight through a simulation of Steelport to save the other Saints and ultimately mount an offensive against the Zin Empire. Inside the simulation, one gains powers like super-strength, gliding, high jumps and much more, along with insane weapons (a Black Hole Launcher? Yes, please) and vehicles.
Several existing activities like Mayhem felt fresh thanks to powers, but having new activities like Rifts for platforming, racing, and telekinesis also didn’t hurt. With incredibly designed story missions paying homage to almost everything, from Metal Gear Solid to Tron, Saints Row 4 is an amazing trip from start to finish.
