3. Neon Genesis Evangelion

Most anime are considered to be guilty pleasures, but Evangelion offered a seriousness and philosophical flavour that puts it above the majority of its competitors. That, and it's got giant mechs and religious metaphors beating the snot out of each other. That's what the Japan only N64 game focused on, but it offered a great deal of varied scenarios that stayed true to the series and sported a decent level of challenge to boot. If you're a fan of the show, a nicely priced import copy of this one won't let you down.
