4. The Getaway 3
Though the sequel, Black Monday was a load of junk, the original Getaway was one of the PS2’s most ambitious and satisfying games. It had its fair share of problems, but it was damn impressive seeing a fully mapped out London back in 2002. A third game was supposedly in production for PS3, and it’s a project you can just imagine taking advantage of the PS4’s power effectively.
5. The Lord of the Rings: The White Council
Remember that old game, Skyrim? Remember how damn popular it was and still is? Imagine that, but set in the land of JRR Tolkien’s colossal Lord of the Rings franchise. Awesome right? Getting to properly explore The Shire and immersing yourself in the rich lore of Middle Earth Elder Scrolls-style sounds like a dream come true. Let’s hope this one gets made in the future.
6. Faith and a .45
Though Faith’s gameplay mechanics sounded like pretty standard shooter fare, its 1930’s time setting and Bonnie and Clyde-esque lover bandits set up sounded like an interesting trope that is seldom touched on in gaming. The PS4 could benefit with more stylized games like Faith, so it would be great to see this one return to development.
7. Simians
Simian was an augmented reality game revolving around interacting with a race of monkeys using the PS Move and Eye. The in-depth nature of the interactions was too advanced for the motion hardware of the time though but, with the power of the PS4 Eye, Simian could become a reality on the PS4. It sounds a little too cutesy for the hardcore player base Sony usually caters for, but a fresh Adventure game could do wonders for the PS4 in its early days.
