Any Bethesda title
Bethesda’s core franchises (The Elder Scrolls and the modern Fallout games) have been right at home on consoles. When it comes to graphics, controls and lifespan though, they just can’t compete with the PC. The improved visuals, (on a good rig of course) effortless mouse and keyboard controls and an awesome modding community all lead to a PC experience that consoles just can’t quite match.
Starcraft
Back in the days when RTS games seldom darkened the door of the home console, Mass Media bravely co-created an N64 port of one of the PC’s most beloved games. In all truth they did a damn fine job, especially when you consider the limitations of the N64’s hardware. A two player co-op mode bolstered the complete Starcraft and Brood War single player experience impressively, but it wasn’t enough when you consider that the game’s epic online multiplayer wasn’t possible on home consoles of the time.
Any Valve game
Valve have brought some of their best and brightest titles to consoles successfully, but there’s just something morally wrong with the whole thing. Valve are the bastion of PC gaming and the fathers of Steam, the most popular digital download store for games. They are best enjoyed on a PC and, though all their games have been enjoyable enough on consoles, the multiplayer community and modding capability just pushes the PC versions up to a new level.
