Though the OnLive service has done a good job of introducing cloud gaming as a viable alternative to traditional console and PC set ups, there have been issues with the pricing strategy and long term potential of the service. As interest in cloud gaming grows over the coming years though, expect some of the big players to start experimenting with its potential uses.
Holographic Gaming
Linked into the idea of virtual reality gaming is the use of holographic projection systems. With the current interest in 3D imaging, it’s only a matter of time before this one becomes the next major goal of the TV and gaming industry. With Kinect hacks like this already pushing into the realms of holographic trickery, it’s only a matter of time.
