THE POLICE OVERREACTED

The police in GTA 5 (and every other GTA game, to varying degrees) isn’t exactly fair and reasonable. They love to overreact to stuff, so if you nick one of their cars even slightly because of an honest mistake- well, that’s you a wanted man and hardened criminal in their eyes. And of course, once that ship has sailed, it’s best to just go with the flow. The more you fight back, of course, the higher your wanted level goes, and unless you find a way to escape and wait for the heat to die down, the cops could eventually find a way to take you down.
