Double Jumps, Is It Even Possible?
Many characters in platforming games have the ability to make another swift hop after a jump, which is called a double jump in general speaking terms. Some characters like the DOOM Guy have special boots that enable this functionality, while other characters are able to perform this feat without the help of any special equipment. And to this, we ask – is this even possible with the laws of physics that we know and follow? The short and true answer is a staunch no, which makes us scratch our heads as to why so many developers continue to feature such double jumps in AAA games at all.
